How it all began

The READ A BOOK GET A NAIRA, designed for young people aged between 3 and 14 years in Nigeria, is a child intervention program conceived as a result of the need to improve the education and mental development of Children within Nigeria through inspired and controlled reading. It geared towards raising a new generation of leading thinkers and innovators in Africa.

The project is currently operative in Onitsha, Anambra State but seeks to cut across the entire African continent. The project is totally volunteer-based. Over 80 volunteers are expected to be mobilized annually via online platforms and community outreaches. READ A BOOK GET A NAIRA project was launched on August, 2017.

READ A BOOK GET A NAIRA would contribute towards improving the beneficiaries’ interest in reading and over all knowledge, and aid the achieving of the Child Development and Education related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) if effectively executed. The project believes that the children are the future.
